uvex suXXeed represents state-of-the-art technology in terms of safety, style and sustainability – integral elements of the uvex mission “protecting people” – which is why it was awarded with the 2022 PLUS X Award for High Quality and Design.

Technical requirements set out in the safety standard were implemented without compromise to create an outstandingly distinct design. As a result, the glasses offer optimum protection, while also sporting a style good enough to wear outside of work. Sporty features such as dynamic lines and a combination of matt and glossy design elements, as well as the company’s characteristic ‘X’, set the product apart when it comes to style. Soft components are always used at the necessary points so that uvex suXXeed eyewear is wonderfully comfortable to wear.

Uniting these two aspects – safety and comfort – was our primary focus when developing uvex suXXeed. The design increases safety at the workplace due to wearer acceptance and relieves the burden on the environment thanks to its durability and longer service life, which in turn reduces resource consumption.

The uvex i-range is our new 3-in-1 safety eyewear range with the right products to meet virtually any requirement thanks to its modular concept.

Thanks to our sophisticated coating technology and its new, unique design, our product range offers stability, comfort and durability alongside a modern style. The lens design offers a virtually unrestricted field of vision, while the x-tended sideshield provides increased side protection.

On top of this, the product range offers maximum sustainability since individual parts can be replaced as required. We have also developed the i-range planet series, which uses recycled plastics or plastics manufactured from biological resources.

With the uvex pheos cx2, we are setting new standards for professional safety spectacles – and the judging panel of the prestigious pro-K award also agreed. Since 1979, the pro-K Industrieverband Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff (Confederation of Industries for Plastic Semi-Finished and Consumer Products) has presented this award to outstanding products made from plastic.

About the Red Dot Product Design Award

The uvex safety group and one of its most important product ranges – safety spectacles – were named amongst the "Stars 2016" in the 2016 edition of Marken des Jahrhunderts ("Brands of the Century").  The compendium is published every three years by the "Deutsche Standards" publishing house and presents the strongest and most famous German brands from different industries.

"We are very happy about this accolade! It validates the investments in our brand communication and motivates us to continue our focused pursuit of this approach", said uvex safety group CEO Stefan Brück at the presentation of the "Stars 2016" awards in Berlin.

Following the inclusion of uvex ski goggles in the "Brands of the Century" in 2010, the panel of renowned experts decided to also honour uvex safety spectacles with an award, using the example of the uvex astrospec 2.0.
